With all that’s occurred this year, everyone is looking forward to the Christmas
break. It gives us time to unwind and reflect on the year that was 2020. This
period also gives us an opportunity to spend time with those we love most.

A Throne Fit For A King 

Recently, Hughes Plumbing Contractors had the pleasure of installing some
new fixtures for a local tattoo parlour. We must admit that we were surprised by
the choice of fittings but were extremely happy with the final outcome – as were
our clients and their lucky customers.

One of our large commercial clients required a storm water maintenance
service at short notice. Luckily, we were able to dispatch teams quickly to arrive
on the scene and start work after completing confined space and other safety
documentation. Our professional team were able to successfully complete the
complex tasks before the onset of bad weather, thereby helping keep our
client’s business operational with no downtime.

Getting Hot!

Hot water is something we take for granted and don’t usually think about until something goes wrong. However, there are some early warning signs to look out for that could suggest your water heater may be on its last legs:

• Rusty or brown coloured water
• Inconsistent water temperatures
• Leaks from the tank

Is It Raining? 

Hughes Plumbing Contractors were called out to a local school during our recent storms to fix a large roof leak in one of their buildings. Fortunately, we were able to repair the leak completely to prevent further damage to school property and keep the kids warm and dry.

What’s That Smell? 

Another job we particularly enjoyed recently was this sewer replacement in Elimbah. With our customer’s old pipes no longer functioning as intended, they decided to get a completely new system installed. They can now rest easy knowing their blocked drains problems are a thing of the past.
